How to Measure
Stand upright with your foot flat on the floor. Relax your leg without flexing.
Wrap a soft measuring tape around the widest part of your calf muscle.
Keep the tape snug but not tight. Record the measurement in centimetres.
If you don’t have a tape measure, use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler.
Between sizes?
Choose the smaller size for a firmer, race-ready compression feel. Choose the larger size for slightly more relaxed training comfort.

VRTX Performance Calf Sleeves
Your calves absorb the impact, generate the power, and carry you through when everything else wants to quit. Give them the support they deserve.
VRTX Performance Calf Sleeves deliver 20-23mmHg graduated compression that reduces fatigue, prevents cramping, and speeds recovery. Double-lock bands mean no slippage, no rolling, no adjusting mid-workout.
Built for Hyrox, running, triathlon, CrossFit, and functional fitness.
Sold as a pair.
Feature Breakdown
🔒 DOUBLE-LOCK BAND TECHNOLOGY
Two support bands at the top of the calf create a secure seal that stays put through sprints, lunges, and everything in between. Our expert tester put it simply: "No slippage at all during use."
💪 20-23mmHg GRADUATED COMPRESSION
The sweet spot for athletic performance. Tighter at the ankle, gradually releasing up the calf—this gradient pushes blood back toward your heart, reduces muscle oscillation, and helps clear lactic acid faster.
🏃 PREMIUM PERFORMANCE FABRIC
82% Polyester / 18% Elastane blend delivers the compression of premium brands without the premium price. Moisture-wicking. Shape-retaining. No shrinkage or colour bleed after washing.
✅ RACE-TESTED, ATHLETE-APPROVED
Independently tested against leading compression brands and rated "on par with top brands" for fit, feel, and functional performance.
Who Are VRTX Performance Calf Sleeves For?
HYROX Athletes 8 runs. 8 stations. Your calves take a beating at every transition. These sleeves help you maintain power output across all stations and recover faster between training sessions.
Runners Whether you're logging daily miles or chasing a PB, compression reduces the micro-trauma that leads to shin splints, tight calves, and that "heavy legs" feeling in the final kilometres.
Triathletes Dead legs off the bike? Compression supports your run split by maintaining circulation and reducing the muscle fatigue that accumulates across three disciplines.
Hybrid Athletes CrossFit. Functional fitness. Mixed training. If your workouts demand running AND lifting, your calves need support that keeps up with the variety.
The Science (Without the Buzzwords)
Let's be honest: compression won't magically shave minutes off your time.
What it will do:
✓ Reduce muscle oscillation: Less vibration per stride means less micro-damage and fatigue
✓ Improve venous return: Better blood flow back to the heart means faster waste removal
✓ Support recovery: The strongest scientific evidence for compression is in post-exercise recovery
✓ Keep muscles warm: Warm muscles are less prone to cramping and strain
FAQ SECTION
When should I wear compression sleeves?
During training and racing to reduce fatigue and support performance. After exercise to speed recovery. During travel to maintain circulation on the way to events. Many athletes wear them for 1-2 hours post-workout as part of their recovery routine.
What's the difference between compression sleeves and compression socks?
Sleeves cover only your calf, leaving your foot free. This means you can wear your preferred socks (like VRTX grip socks) while still getting calf compression. Socks provide full foot-to-calf compression but limit your footwear choices.
Do compression sleeves actually work?
The strongest scientific evidence supports compression for recovery—reduced muscle soreness, less swelling, and faster return to training. Many athletes also report reduced cramping and better form maintenance during long efforts. Our tester specifically noted reduced calf cramps and improved blood flow.
Will they slip down during running?
No. Our double-lock band system at the top of the calf creates a secure seal that stays put. Our expert tester reported "no slippage at all" during training and racing.
How do I wash them?
Machine wash cold with like colours. Tumble dry low or air dry. Our tester found no shrinkage or colour bleed after multiple washes.
How long will they maintain compression?
With proper care, quality compression sleeves maintain their effectiveness for 6-12 months of regular use, or roughly 70-100 wears. Replace them when you notice the fabric becoming loose or less supportive.
Can I wear them all day?
Compression sleeves are designed for activity and recovery periods. For best results, wear them during exercise and for 1-3 hours post-workout. Extended all-day wear is generally not recommended unless advised by a healthcare professional.
What compression level do I need?
Our 20-23mmHg range is the athletic performance sweet spot. Strong enough to provide real support and recovery benefits, comfortable enough for extended wear during training and racing.
